Remember this little green guy?
Well, he isn't so little anymore.
As a matter of fact, he is getting pretty big. He looks like a dinosaur.
Just look at that head piece. Wow! And his colors. Sometimes he's green, sometimes he's blotchy brown, and other times he's sandy colored. A true Chameleon.
As you may recall, I was a little bit apprehensive about letting A.J. get a reptile, but he really is cool. He still moves like a little old man - very slow - except when he spots a cricket. Then, like most young males, he moves quickly so he doesn't miss the meal.
He eats and eats and eats. No cricket stands a chance against his sticky semi-transparent, gray tongue. It's exactly like those rubbery, sticky hands every kid has gotten out of the vending machine. You know the ones. The ones in the clear plastic bubble container. The ones that boys always flick at each other and then giggle and giggle about. He stores his tongue somewhere in his throat and then it flicks out about 4-5" to get his food. Weird creature of nature.
Anyways, this last picture is of him on A.J.'s bedroom screen. A fun forced perspective. Makes it look like he's attacking the house!
Too much fun!
ps. Myles is not a free-roaming reptile. He is safe in his cage most of the time under the heat lamps so he can stay warm.
