So, to all those who care, I got the bug anyway. All my chanting, snorting natural nose spray (to rinse nasal passages and "kills bugs dead!"), and drinking that nasty Airborne and I got sick ANYWAY!!!

Thanks to all who have wished Phillip and I well. He went to the Dr. today and got something to help him sleep and suppress the coughing. He is, by far, worse than I am. He has been under the weather since last Thursday - tomorrow will be one week! I can hardly mother him cause I feel like shit too! My nose is so red, sore and chapped that I can hardly stand to touch it with a Kleenex - even the ones saturated with Aloe! I can't breathe. My ears are clogged, yet the two of them keep taking turns making that high pitched squeeky noise. I'd be surprised if I'm the only one that can hear it.

So, off to bed with hopes that tomorrow brings a healthy, new day.....keep hope alive....and I'll keep chanting...."I don't want to be sick...I don't want to be sick." Should've bought stock in Kleenex!!!!

Dreaming of Summer.....

So the holidays are behind us and now most everyone I know has either been sick or is still sick. Laryngitis (sp?), fever, chills, aches, sneezing, runny noses, earaches, sinus pressure, coughing....Gotta love Winter. I am trying to dodge the bullet, but I can feel the constriction in my chest, the headache, the scratchy throat, the beginning of a clogged nose. Demons, GET OUT!!!

I don't want to be sick. I don't want to be sick. Maybe if I keep chanting, my body will listen.

So, it was snowing a bit at the house this morning. It's gone now and it's just dark, wet, cold and dreary. I wonder if the sun is even up there above the clouds.

A.J. asked me yesterday where we would go this summer for vacation. I told him camping would be fun, like we did the year before last. But, today, I find myself dreaming of the warm sand and clear waters of Maui. I wonder if the Hawaiians ever get sick?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas......

Inspired by the Holiday Home Tour last Saturday, I decided I would decorate a little. Very little that is, cause most of our decorations are still packed away in totes and boxes. Three and 1/2 years in our house now, and those boxes are still in "cold" storage in the greenhouse. Cold, cold, cold. 30 some degrees the last few days. I can feel it in my bones.

So I improvised with what I had in my craft room. An old, mini muffin tin and some scrabble tiles. But I only had one set of game tiles cause the rest of the tiles - several sets I've collected over the years - are in "cold" storage. I really need to unpack once and for all - don't you think?

Anyway, A.J. and I had fun racking our brains trying to spell 3-four letter words or 4-three letter words that relate to the holidays or winter. We ultimately came up with what you see here - HOME, SNOW, LOVE, and HOLIDAYS. OK, so holidays doesn't qualify as a 3 or 4-letter word, but I thought it was fitting.

So there it is. My make-shift holiday decor on the little table by the fireplace!

Congrats to my Phillip

So today is an exciting day for me. Phillip is shipping the first 3 pieces of his limited edition Clearly Art / Porsche art pieces. Two to Joe Cavaglieri - the classic Porsche master fabricator and one to Jerry Seinfeld. Way to go Phillip! I am SOOOOO proud of you. I've always loved your creations, but this one is my favorite because not only is it automotive related, but it has your signature on it - FINALLY!!!!

It's a happy day!!!
